Fall Ballet Semester 2011!

Welcome to the Peoples School of Creative Arts page for Classical Ballet! I'm so glad you dropped by. If you would like to know more about me and the ballet program check out my first post.

Here is the e-mail that I sent out to my previous students. It will give you the times, prices, and schedule for the Fall 2011 Semester.

Hello everyone!
I hope that you've all had a wonderful Summer. I've enjoyed traveling back East to Indiana to see family, and up north to Washington for family camp. It's amazing how fast it all goes by. :)
I've heard from a few of you about returning to ballet in the Fall. Anyone who would like to return for the Fall semester (or start new, too!) needs to e-mail me so that I can put you on a class list. Remember, there is a class limit of 10.

This semester's class times are identical to last semester's with the addition of another pre-ballet class on Mondays at 4. However, I like to have at least 4 in a class before running it, so let me know if you (or any of your friends) would be interested in that new time slot. I know of just one so far.

Class Times are as follows:

Monday
3:00-3:45 Pre-Ballet
4:00-4:45 Pre-Ballet
(new class time)
Tuesday

8:30-9:30 Ballet 2

9:35-10:20 Pre-Ballet
10:25-11:10 Beginning Ballet
11:15-12:00 Pre-Ballet
12:00-1:00 Ballet 1

Like last year, we will not be having an end of Fall recital. We'll save that for the Spring. It helps to keep the busy holiday season a little less busy :)

Remember, $40/month (unless there are less/more than 4 classes in a month - then cost is determined by # of classes [$10 per class]).
Monthly tuition is due on the first class of each month. Sibling discount: 10% off for second child.
We will be starting classes on
August 15 and 16 (the week after psca choirs start).
So the cost for August is only $30 ($57 for two siblings).

September is the normal cost: $40 ($76 for two siblings).

October is slightly different for Monday students (not Tuesday) since there are 5 Mondays in the month. So it's $50 ($95 for two siblings).

And November is our last month and we will finish the same week as choir -
November 14 and 15. Course, that means Monday students only have 2 classes that month ($20, $38 for two siblings), and Tuesday students have 3 classes ($30, $57 for two siblings).

I hope that makes some sense :) Let me know if you need any clarifications.
It helps me a lot if you can mark on your calendars the differences in payment for each month.
As always, please speak to your girls ahead of time about the importance of attentiveness and listening to instruction. It helps me, and will, in turn, help them to have a better learning experience.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Blessings,

Kaylee

Fall Semester Schedule

Hello! And welcome to the information site for PSCA classical ballet!
My name is Kaylee McCracken and I am privileged and blessed to be the ballet instructor here. I received my training in this beautiful art at the Severance Fresno Ballet School and have now been teaching for over two years. My goal in this program is not only to provide girls with ballet instruction but also, and most importantly, to be a godly example to them and show them the delight of dancing and living for God's glory.

We just recently finished our Spring semester and I have now come up with the new Fall schedule. The class levels from lowest to highest are as follows: Pre-ballet (4-7 yr olds), Beginning Ballet, Ballet 1, Ballet 2. If you are interested in classes, please contact me (information at http://www.peopleschurch.org/home/arts/psca/group-lessons) so that I may determine which level best suits you.

Here are the class times:

Monday

3:00-3:45 p.m. Pre-ballet

Tuesday

8:30-9:30 a.m. Ballet 2
9:35-10:20 a.m. Pre-ballet
10:25-11:10 a.m. Beginning Ballet
11:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Pre-ballet
12:00-1:00 p.m. Ballet 1

The new semester will start August 16 and 17. Classes are held in the band room/dance room in the Worship Ministries building at Peoples Church. Classes are $40/month with payment due on the first class of each month. I encourage the girls to wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes (skirts are optional), with their hair in a ponytail or bun (if it's too short, just pin it away from their face). There will be a recital at the end of the semester (the date isn't yet decided).

Some places to find ballet attire and shoes are:

Dance Apparel (in Old Town Clovis)
Sunnyside Department Store
Payless Shoes
discountdance.com
allaboutdance.com

Please contact me with any questions! Register soon to ensure a spot in a class (10 students per class).

Blessings!
